Birth Certificate is required in applying the UK Visa 
According to Tier4 Points Based System, implemented on 31 March 2009, two kinds of visa were laid down, depending on the student's age (Child Student of under 15yrs) and General Student of over 18yrs) and General Student of over 18yrs. UK Border Agency now declared that although it said that those who applied visa as a general student, had to applied visa as a general student, had to apply together with his/her own bank account book, at present they could apply, showing his/her father's or mother's bank account book. However, it instructed that the student had to attach his / her birth certificate (copy), as an evident showing he/she was son / daughter of that father or mother.
